Repped & Rooted exists to bring diverse and inspiring stories and characters into homes and classrooms across Canada. Through beautifully crafted books, educator resources, and community partnerships, we put representation directly into the hands of young readers.

The Repped & Rooted Community Sponsorship Program was built to put literature, culture, and heritage directly into the hands of every child at a school or learning centre twice a year.
What your sponsorship provides
- A book every child (Grades PP to 6) can call their very own, twice a year — October and February
- A printed activity sheet to complement each book and deepen what they've read
- Stories that promote diversity, culture, and representation
- A direct connection to local authors, to inspire the next generation of storytellers

Because we print in-house, we cut out publisher sales costs — and reinvest the savings into the program.
Example: a school of 300 students = $2,550 (plus HST) for a full year of books, activities and connection.
Every sponsorship includes
- A letter sent home to families, with your sponsor logo, if desired

Lindsay Ruck — founder & publisher
Lindsay is the founder of Repped & Rooted, a content creation hub based in Nova Scotia, Canada. She writes and publishes children’s picture books that place childhood, history, and geography at the centre of the page, and builds the classroom resources that go with them.
She works directly with educators and community sponsors to get books into classrooms and communities. Lindsay is available for read-aloud visits, panels, and interviews.
